tivolicious!

tivo just sent out a nice little email to all Tivo rewards members (i.e.: people who have referred other people into getting a Tivo)… they’re letting us get up to 5 140 hour Tivo’s for free with a 12 month gift subscription (costs $155).
sweet. so for the price of one year’s worth of service, i get a free 140hour tivo.
rock on.
i just ordered 1. (free shipping, too!)
anyone else want a tivo? i can order 4, 3, 2, 1 more… let me know ASAP…
wow
at chester’s recommendation, i finally got around to watching all my TiVo’d episodes of MI-5.
WOW
it’s awesome. i don’t know how to describe it. it’s like Alias, except good.
(don’t flame me, i love Alias… i watch it every week…but wow, MI-5 is great)
i’ve figured out why i’ve been having trouble going to sleep the past couple of nights.
it has a strange correlation with 24, season 4, coming back on TV and having 2 hour episodes the last two nights.
goddamn, it’s impossible to go to bed after watching 2 hours of the most intense suspenseful TV around. damn you jack bauer.
geek contest

question who is geekier?
my sister, for asking me while we were watching Enterprise, “T’Pol could be better…she needs to show more emotion”
or me, for immediately asking back (in a pretty incredulous tone of voice), “dude! she’s Vulcan!”
i mean, on the one hand, my sister cared enough about Enterprise to give constructive feedback. on the other hand, i totally shot her down with some lame-ass Trekker elitist attitude.
zac just laughed at how lame we both were…
nativity scene

I was inspired by these Biblical Action Figures.
now I want to get the Lucifer action figure, and a couple of Star Wars Yoda and Darth Vader ones too.
i can build my own Nativity scene with Darth Vader, Lucifer, Jesus, and Yoda.
how cool would that be?
Darth Vader: “Jesus…. I am your Father…”
Jesus: “Nooooooooooo”
(Aaron’s quote… )
Erik also pointed out that Goliath looks like one of the Village People. which brings up the question “what the hell is he doing in the Bible?”
well clearly, if you look at Moses (who looks like Obi-Wan Kenobi, IMHO), he’s doing the “Y” which clearly shows that even Moses thinks “…. it’s fun to stay at the Y….M….C….A…”
the chicken, the egg, and the monkey king

I just got a copy of the latest Sun Java Desktop System demo disc we gave out at SunNetwork last week.
it’s a sealed CD, with one of those stickers at the seal that says: BY OPENING THE SOFTWARE MEDIA PACKAGE, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THE SOFTWARE EVALUATION AGREEMENT INCLUDED IN THIS SOFTWARE MEDIA PACKAGE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL THESE TERMS, PROMPTLY RETURN THE UNUSED SOFTWARE TO SUN MICROSYSTEMS, INC. 4150 NETWORK CIRCLE, SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA, 95054
Soooo….in order for me to use the CD, I have to agree to the software evaluation agreement which I can’t read because it’s on the CD, which I can’t use until I agree to the software evaluation agreement which I can’t read because it’s on the CD, which I can’t use until I agree to the software evaluation agreement which I can’t read because it’s on the CD, which I can’t use until I agree to the software evaluation agreement which I can’t read because it’s on the CD, which I can’t use until I agree to the software evaluation agreement ….
the mind boggles.
…. the only person who can open this is a time traveler who can travel backwards in time….. someone like the….. MONKEY KING!
“BOYIIIII BOLLOMIIIIIII!!!!!! WOW! BACK IN TIME!”
if you haven’t seen it yet, go watch “A Chinese Odyssey”, (or as my friends and I call it simply: The Monkey King) a great classic HK movie with Stephen Chow. truly will you be enlightened.
