Latest svn rev (~r965, 0.11.8/0.7.8).
Hmm, can I assume that you applied the NCURSES_ERR patch also? Without it, you'd get the same symptons, truss showing rtorrent endlessly pollsys():ing.

Hi Thomas - I loaded in the patches for mincore()/madvise(), and libtorrent/rtorrent built successfully - but when I tried to run it I was unable to quit. It was able to start processing and downloading torrents successfully, but upon sending it the ctrl-q, the screen went blank and the process started an endless loop of pollsys() calls and CPU usage went up to about 80% (at which point I pkill'd it)

Which version did you build? I was attempting to build libtorrent 0.11.7 and rtorrent 0.7.7

Regarding rtorrent, what kind of issues?
With the ncurses fix in http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/ticket/757 and other changes to make it compile successfully, I've found that rtorrent works quiet nicely on Solaris/x86.
