so i’m sure you’ve all heard the decision that we‘ve gone mercurial. i was trying to understand all the terms used in the mercurial man pages and found their CvsConcepts page on the Mercurial Wiki to be very helpful.

my raw bloody finger

Friday, Apr 7. 2006  –  Category: Musings

this is totally unrelated to anything – but i got a splinter in my middle finger this morning and i’ve probably spent at least 30 minutes trying to get it out. so far, all i’ve gotten for my trouble is a raw bloody finger…

… that, and a strange look from my neighbour when she walked by me trying to get it out whilst sitting on my front porch. she was probably perturbed by the fact that it looked like i was flipping her off with a bloody middle finger, while i smiled and asked how she was doing.

i haven’t been blogging as much about the recent ON source drops i’ve made, since they’ve become fairly routine as we’ve been pretty consistent about hitting the weekly targets, in addition to our build drops now. i’m pretty happy with our schedule and frequency of releases. the thing i’m really looking forward to now is when we can have ON available via Subversion. in due time, i’m told…. in due time.

anyway, today’s source drop is special. and not only because it contains one of my (infrequent) putbacks. :-P this putback moves a bunch of closed code to the open tree. specifically, it has my putback which moved a bunch of random SPARC drivers. additionally it has the (long anticipated) open-sourcing of the ata driver. and last but not least, it has keith‘s removal of DMI.
