it’s a vera wang LIFE
Saturday, Nov 12. 2005 – Category: Musings
while wendy and i were doing some grocery shopping, we took a 10 minute break to sit down, have some coffee and read. she picked up a wedding InStyle or something, and i couldn’t help but see some of the ads as she flipped through…
Vera Wang perfume … Vera Wang wine glasses … Vera Wang paper ….
???? what’s next? Vera Wang chainsaws??
I can just picture the ad:
“Vera Wang chainsaws. For when your marriage has just gone horribly horribly wrong.”

She not only does wedding and bride maid’s gowns eyewear. perfume and paper, she also does footwear, china, crystal, silver, and jewelry http://www.infomat.com/whoswho/verawang.html
She has very clean lines, I can’t imagine a vera Wang chainsaw, way too messy.

I just saw an ad for Vera Wang seely posturepedic mattresses. She must’ve needed one to stuff all her money into. Whatever other reason would there be for a fashion designer to put her name on something so functional as a mattress. What possible element of design could be involved?

The history of perfume goes back to Egypt, although it was prevalent in East Asia as well. Early perfumes were based
on incense, not chemicals, so aromas were passed around through fumes. The Roman and Islamic cultures further
refined the harvesting and manufacturing of perfumery processes to include other aromatic ingredients.
Thus, the ancient Islamic culture marked the history of modern perfumery with the introduction of spices and herbs.
Fragrances and other exotic substances, such as Jasmine and Citruses, were adapted to be harvested in climates
outside of their indigenous Asia.
