batman begins

Just saw the trailer for Batman Begins… wow,it looks awesome. can’t wait to see it.
On the Slashdot story about it, the following thread just absolutely cracked me up:
Anonymous Coward: “There will be lots in this movie* that doesn’t line up with the other 4 flicks, because it’s in a completely different continuity line. The director wanted everything in this movie to be believable and realistic. It’s going to be darker and more real than even the first Batman in 1989.”
Quarters (reply): “I dunno, it’s gonna be hard to be more real than a guy falling into a vat of acid, having plastic surgery done to make himself look like clown and then defacing an art museum while dancing around to Prince music….”
Anonymous Coward (reply): ” Dude, it was the late 80’s, this sort of thing happened like every day.”
Will Sargent (reply): “Seen the Michael Jackson trial recently?”

I really liked Batman begins. The genre of comic-book hero in cinema is not for everybody, like semi-standardized production-line films, but Mr Nolan does the hero justice in a well thought-out and meticulously crafted film. There is no need for hesitation at the cinema, Batman Begins delivers.
